Veto the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 as several provisions of the bill pose a threat to civil liberties. | The White House

This is a petition at the White House petition site asking Obama to veto the NDAA, which allows for indefinite detention without a trial, among other bad things.

Obama signed NDAA Bill

NDAA Bill signed silently. Now the US government can actually detain it's own citizens without a trial.
And the big USA Media doesn't even cover it.

The News Headline could also have gone like this: China, Syria, Egypt and Tunesia have now officially been joined by the USA if it comes to civil rights.

But guess ,what, Obama published a Statement, pointing out he doesn't plan to arrest innocent people. Yay!
